Description

Pucher Fishing, to catch wild salmon on Severn estuary. This ancient way of fishing employs multiple putcher baskets, set in a fixed frame, against the tide in the estuary. The practice was threatened for many years by proposed Tidal Barrage until 2014 when the project was abandoned.
