Description

Little Terns (Sterna albifrons) male with sand eel (Ammodytes tobianus) for their newly hatched chick, female brooding, Berneray, North Uist, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. (Indicator of climate change as Little Terns are only able to feed in top layer of sea water , and as sea warms up sand eels move to deeper colder water meaning that they are unable to reach their main prey item)
